This Ohaus Scout is the best portable digital balance for education and laboratory applications. It meets the needs of all grade levels and all science applications from earth science to chemistry. The Scout scale features easy four-button operation, a large easy-to-read high-contrast LCD display, multiple weighing units and three application modes. Special mechanical and software features protect the load cell from shock and overload and an integrated shipping lock protects the load cell during transport and storage. Plus the Scout scale can be expanded to connect to with a variety of devices with the optional USB cable, Bluetooth, Ethernet, or RS232. This model has 120g capacity, 0.001g readability and 0.003g repeatability. The stainless steel pan is 3.7" in diameter and it includes a draft shield. The design allows for easy stacking. The easy-to-use four-button keypad allows you to easily select the weighing units and application mode. Weighing units include grams, ounces, and Newtons. Application modes include specific gravity (a specific gravity kit is included), weighing, and Mole weighing. The Scout is powered by either an AC adapter (included) or four AA batteries (not included). A calibration mass is included.
