Explore Science: An Intro to Scientific Skills

Give kids an Intro to Scientific Skills with four lessons and nine hands-on science activities. Each lesson takes about 45-60 minutes to complete.

This introductory unit serves as a foundation for other Explore Science units. You'll revisit its concepts and use its materials, again and again, making it the best place to start.

Explore Science: An Intro to Scientific Skills

• Lesson 1: What is Science? — Be introduced to science and some of the many areas of scientific study. Practice using one of the tools of scientific inquiry.

What is Explore Science?

From Home Science Tools, Explore Science is a new topical curriculum for grades K-2.

Based on the 5E teaching model, lessons begin with hands-on activities. Standalone one-box kits provide a month of science at roughly one lesson per week.
